Overview

What are MVP development services?

MVP development services cover everything needed to turn a product idea into the smallest working version real customers can use — discovery, feature prioritisation, UX design, engineering, testing, launch and analytics. The goal is evidence, not a cheaper product: will people use this, and will they pay for it?

At Obii Kriationz, MVPs are run as product engagements. Our team has managed, launched or scaled 52+ products across 23 industries, and that discipline shapes what we build first — and what we leave out.

What is included

  • Product discovery — problem framing, target users, competitor scan and the one metric that defines success for version one.
  • Feature prioritisation — a MoSCoW-ranked backlog and written MVP scope, agreed before any code is written.
  • UX and UI design — user flows, wireframes and a clickable prototype you can show users or investors.
  • Web and mobile engineering — web apps, SaaS, marketplaces and Android/iOS apps on a stack that can grow with you.
  • Quality assurance — functional, regression and device testing before every release.
  • Launch and analytics — cloud deployment and event tracking from day one, so you can see what users actually do.
  • Post-launch iteration — feedback reviews, fixes and the next release, prioritised by data.

How long does it take to build an MVP?

Most MVPs take 6 to 12 weeks from kickoff to launch. The range depends on the number of user roles, platforms and integrations.

PhaseTypical durationOutput
Discovery & scoping1–2 weeksMVP scope, prioritised backlog, success metric
UX & UI design1–2 weeksUser flows, clickable prototype
Build sprints3–6 weeksWorking software demoed every sprint
QA, launch & handover1–2 weeksTested release, deployment, analytics, documentation

Need to validate even faster? Start with a clickable prototype through our product prototyping services (1–4 weeks, no code).

What drives the cost of an MVP?

MVP cost is driven by scope. We give a fixed-scope estimate after a discovery conversation. The biggest cost drivers are:

  • Platforms — a responsive web app costs less than separate Android and iOS apps; Flutter or React Native sit in between.
  • User roles — a single-sided product is simpler than a marketplace with buyers, sellers and admins.
  • Integrations — payments, KYC, maps, messaging and CRMs each add effort.
  • Compliance — health, finance and children’s products need extra controls from the start.

The largest saving comes from building less: a disciplined scope avoids paying for features nobody uses.

FAQ

Common
Questions

An MVP (Minimum Viable Product) is the smallest working version of a product that solves one core problem well enough for real users to adopt it. It tests your riskiest assumptions — usually demand and willingness to pay — before you invest in a full build.

Most MVPs take 6 to 12 weeks: roughly 1–2 weeks of discovery, 1–2 weeks of design, 3–6 weeks of build sprints and 1–2 weeks of testing and launch. Products with several user roles, native apps or complex integrations sit at the upper end.

Cost depends mainly on platforms, user roles, integrations and compliance needs. We provide a fixed-scope estimate after a discovery conversation. Keeping the scope tight is the most effective way to control cost.

A prototype is a clickable design used to test the idea and user flow, with no working code. An MVP is real, working software with only the core features, used by early customers so you can measure actual behaviour and revenue.

Only what delivers and measures the core value: the main user journey, sign-up, the one workflow that solves the problem, basic admin and analytics. Advanced settings, extra integrations and customisation should wait until users ask for them.

Yes. We build web apps and SaaS platforms, cross-platform mobile apps with Flutter or React Native, and native Android and iOS apps when needed. Many founders start with a responsive web MVP and add apps once demand is proven.

Yes. A product manager leads the engagement, turns your idea into a clear scope, explains trade-offs in plain language and demos working software at the end of every sprint.

Yes. We keep the feature set small but build on production-grade foundations — a mainstream framework, clean architecture, automated deployment and cloud hosting — so you can grow without rebuilding.

We review analytics and user feedback with you, fix issues and prioritise the next release on evidence. The same team can continue development, scale infrastructure and run marketing, or hand over with full documentation.

Yes. Obii Kriationz was named one of the Top 10 MVP startups in India by Silicon India magazine, and has managed, launched or scaled more than 52 products since 2009.
